Provenance:

Probably in an European collection circa 1800, after a drawing by Jacques-Louis David. Former French Private Collection since the 1950s. According to the tradition, the statue was bought in Paris at the end of the 1940s. Private Collection of the painter Claudio Bravo (1936 – 2011), in his villa of Taroudant, Marocco.
